Senior Software Engineer and UNIX System Administrator

Larry has a diverse background with over 14 years of experience in UNIX system administration, application development, network management and system integration. He currently provides consultation services for software configuration management and network administration.

Recent software configuration management projects Larry has completed involved automating software build procedures with Make, Imake and Atria ClearCase; creation of software installation and QA tools, using perl and shell scripts. Recent network administration projects involved PC, UNIX and NT workstation and server integration, network management, electronic mail, establishing network backup strategies and routine system administration.

Other consulting services Larry has provided were porting UNIX applications and customer support. NT, Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX, and Apollo Domain OS are just a few of the operating systems to which he has ported applications and provided system administration services. While working as a design engineer at Calma, he became interested in engineering workstations and network computing; this led Larry to become a System Engineer for Apollo Computer, where he ported over thirty engineering, scientific, and business applications to the Apollo workstations. He also provided system administration and engineering consulting services to HP/Apollo customers, among them, Meta-Software, which later recruited him as their System and Product Release Manager. With his experience and knowledge, Larry can establish and maintain a company's software and computing infrastructure.
