Senior Technical Editor

Sarah has worked in the areas of documentation, training, education, research, customer service, marketing, inventory control, and management. Her experience includes a wide variety of subjects and a diverse group of clients. As the senior editor of Expert Support's production staff, Sarah specializes in the following:

• Developmental and copy editing
• Indexing
• Document conversion and template work
• Trademarking and terminology
• Foreign language documentation
• Presentations
• PC hardware and troubleshooting

Sarah is proficient on Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms and is a skilled user of a variety of word-processing and desktop-publishing packages including FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, StarOffice, CorelDraw, and other applications. She has worked for clients in many industries, including software, hardware, biotech, web technology, and design/layout.

Her favorite thing is indexing. No kidding.

Before coming to work for Expert Support, Sarah was a member of the documentation team at Coryphaeus Software, working with real-time animation, product testing, indexing, and general production work.

Sarah has developed course materials and presented courses in effective management, customer service, policy, food service, Kaizen, mythology, and ancient literature at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her academic background includes a Masters in Latin and Classics, along with studies in folklore, historiography, etymology, linguistics, and several foreign languages.

Outside the office, Sarah practices photography, experiments with food, dreams of being a Nielsen family, paints (silk, canvas, walls, whatever), does a little home improvement, and cultivates orchids. She pet-sits for friends' animals until she has space for a couple big dogs of her own. And she continues to study esoteric, metaphysical, and historical subjects.
